Despina Vlahostergiou – Vasvatekis är ordförande för Föreningen Larissa Symfoniorkester och medlem av styrelsen i Vlatsi Folklore Förening i Larissa. För sina stora förtjänster inom kulturen tilldelades hon utmärkelser av Federation of Greek Associations of Europe  (Förbundet Grekiska Föreningar i Europa) i München 2010 liksom av Thessaly Arts and Letters Association (Thessaliska Föreningen för Konst och Litteratur) 2015.

Despina Vlahostergiou – Vasvatekis is president of the Larissa Symphony Orchestra Association and a member of the Board of Directors of the Vlatsi Folklore Association of Larissa.
For her collective contribution to culture, she was awarded by the
Federation of Greek Associations of Europe in Munich in 2010 as well as by the Thessaly Arts and Letters Association in 2015.
